Looking Back to Go Forward – A Review of Rural Development Funding Processes and Delivery
It is clear there is a real, time bound opportunity to ensure a bespoke rural framework for our region delivers for rural women in future rural development design and programming.
NIRWN members and staff attended a conference on Thursday 23rd June in the O’Neill Arms in Toome, on the future of Rural Development Delivery which was jointly organised by NIRWN and RCN. NIRWN members had an opportunity to share their views on the future of their rural community and what actions they would like to see in their rural area.
Professor Ruth McAreavey, Newcastle University presented findings and recommendations from the from the research report ‘Looking Back to Go Forward – A Review of Rural Development Funding Processes and Delivery’ . The research was commissioned by NIRWN and RCN and supported by Community Foundation NI.
