‘Welcome to a new month I hope it finds you well; I would like to thank you all for engaging with us over this last year. We know it has been challenging for every single person; we hope you have found the support we have provided has made a difficult time a little easier. Please take some time over the Easter break to reflect on how far we have come and how resilient you have been; we have all learned so much and have a deeper appreciation for the simpler things in life.
I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the NIRWN staff team (which is very small); they have been working remotely from home for most of this last year; dealing with all the caring, home schooling and other challenges we have all had to adapt to. They have worked harder than ever this year to ensure that you, our members, are listened to and supported and we delivered; with support from our funders, what you needed as needs changed throughout the year. As their line manager I can tell you that they did all this with enthusiasm, energy and heart. Our home ‘offices’ will be closed from April 2nd to April 12th as they have a well-earned break.
April is a time of longer, brighter days and new beginnings; wishing you all a lovely Easter!’
