Community Advocates Women’s Workplace Wellness training

The first inspiring session took place in Cookstown on 11th August 2026. The training created space for honest conversations, thoughtful discussion and shared learning. Together, we explored menstrual health, menopause and perimenopause, pregnancy, breastfeeding, fertility treatment, pregnancy loss and the practical support that employers and organisations can provide.

A key message from the day was that women’s health should never be something people feel they must hide or manage alone. By developing informed advocates, supportive policies, accessible resources and welcoming workplaces, we can make it easier for women to ask for help and receive an understanding and practical response.

Charmain and Paula also undertook the training today, taking an important step towards becoming Women’s Workplace Wellness Advocates themselves and bringing this knowledge into NIRWN’s work.
